Jana Zlunkova

Jana is originally from the Czech Republic, where she was born and raised. After finishing high school in 2016, she spent a few months working as an au-pair in Mallorca, Spain. She discovered a passion for traveling and moved to the United Kingdom to pursue a journalism degree at the Robert Gordon University Aberdeen in Scotland. During the third year of her studies she participated in a study exchange in Brussels, Belgium and worked in the role of a marketing and media intern in a real estate agency located in Barcelona, Spain. While working towards her

degree,  she took an interest in features writing and documentary making with the main focus on people and their personal stories. After graduating university in 2020, life drew her back to Belgium, where she worked as an au-pair for a couple of months. With plenty experience with children gained during her au-pair jobs

and work at children summer camps, interest in languages, and a desire to make a difference with her work, she moved to Honduras in January 2021 to volunteer Garden School Victoria. She became Volunteer Coordinator at Garden School Victoria in April 2021 where she is in charge of training and supervising our volunteers as well as all other activities on the ground.
